Top of the line Wheels?
Question: How are the springs on stock wheels? Want to get some springs when I get my vossens but want to know how well they do when my stock wheels are on for the winter.
Compiled the info and wisdom from another thread that will help me make the best decision on what's best for my G37xS Sedan. Hope this will help others as well.
You shouldn't need the spacers unless you're trying to clear calipers or want to run flush. At least IMO, the tuck isn't too bad. Either way, not too costly I suppose.
I ran spacers on the sport sedan rims after I had the BBK installed which also flushed them but now running the Rays I don't need the spacers at all.

Vossen doesn't offer a whole rage of offsets, so you'll be getting a set of wheels with very aggressive fitment that will only look right when dropped. That's just my opinion based on recent experience, but I suspect blnewt and others would agree. In other words, Vossen is one of those niche wheel manufacturers that expect you to drop the car. Want proof? Go look at every single car in their extensive photo gallery. And it's a seriously extensive gallery.
Guess who learned this the hard way and feels kind of silly now?

Yep^^^
Viet prior to ordering post the size & offset in this thread just so you'll know what to expect. It's a pretty good sized purchase so IMO it's best to know what look you'll be getting prior to plunking down the coin. For a square sedan AWD setup I'd shoot for 8.5 +35s running 245/35s on 20s or 245/40 if running 19s or 9" +40 running same size tires. If you go 9.5" I'd go +45 offset running the same tires, but they'll be a little stretched on the mount.

Wheels are in that funny category, like computers, photography, taxes, you name it... Where it seems simple until you dive in to the details, and then it's crazy complex before it becomes simple again.

my favorite wheels i have ever owned was ADV1 wheels dear lord they were absolutely fantastic but EXTREMELY expensive i had them on the car for about 3 weeks before feeling really guilty i spent almost 12k on wheels and tires since than my local wheels shop has sponsored me with vossen wheels, so since my ADV1 wheels i have had 5 sets of vessels in about a year and a half LMAO
lol!!! i was at a crazy moment in my life and decided to just go for it.... my mom could pick them up with one hand... (she's 5'1 100 pounds soaking wet)... the quality is next to none and i even got to fly out to their location and see them make them... very cool
That's true. However, they have excellent customer service, an amazing collection of media to stare and compare, and some truly beautiful designs.
But hey, if ROFL is what it takes to make you feel superior to the larger forum community... go for it. Just be reminded that karma goes both ways.
