x2. If you can go side to side it's a good idea. Assuming a non-directional tread you'll work out any heel and toe that could develop.

Additionally each tire sees a different part of the road crown so you'll help alleviate some of the inside-outside wear as well.

With UHP summer tires going around 30k miles or so that helps to squeeze a little more out of them

Interesting, I've always heard that side to side is a big no-no with radial tires...

With directional yes but not sure why it would be a problem with radials.

From what I've been told it's the wear caused by direction of rotation; if you reverse that it tears up the tire.

However, I just Googled it and found this on yahoo.com:

You'll notice they mention that straight rotations were a product of the early days of radial tires. We've come a long way in 40 years and straight rotations are no longer valid.

When rotating radial tires, does the way you rotate them change? - Yahoo Answers

So, in the words of Emily Litella, "Never mind..."

Prepare to spend $800 on tires only... :x But that's what I paid for my Nitto tires. Hankook might be slightly cheaper.

I just got my G37S a few months ago but the previous owner had put the v12s on it. Ive got to say that i just dont really like them that much. Even on dry roads im finding they break traction way too easily and on wet...well i try to avoid being out when its wet and take my DD instead.

I find it odd though because when i researched my issues with them i couldnt find anyone else complaining of weak traction and the traction rating on tirerack for them is quite high. Mine have plenty of tread left on them too so i just dont know whats up. When i contacted the previous owner about it he did mention he has had better traction tires on it and wasnt sure why he chose the ventus v12.
