Do it!
Do it with pics.
Wow thanks for the support Rochester. I figured most guys would like the look but I thought since it wasn't the top notch brand name most expensive version of the part that I might catch flack about it.
But personally i think it'll look wonderful with my deep red calipers.

It's done! I have to say the lug nut mod turned out to be a stressful one for me personally. I struggled to find the perfect ones at the right price. With my wheels and tires arriving in the mail sometime in the next 5-10 days (the seller had someone do the shopping for him and they forgot to mail two of the tires lol) I should get the lugs at the same time as the wheels. Time for a build thread to be created after that. Unless uou guys think I should actually install the fast Intentions LTH's first??? Obviously I want them installed asap but I don't have the know how to do it on my own. So I'm waiting on a good friend who has a lift to have the time to help me.
Those are GodSpeed lug nuts, they've been around awhile (guess they shortened the name recently). Those should be a nice look w/ what all you've got cooking. Looking forward to how it all comes together Reddi, I know you can't wait

Certainly. I figure this is just as good a place to decide on lugs and "show off you lugs" as any. Rochester you can have the honors of having your name stamped on it. You did put in the time and effort to research n post pics of several different lug nut selections afterall.

As much as I'm very happy with these McGard spline-drive lug nuts, I will admit to a curiosity for hardware that has some color in it. 3-piece nuts with a colored cap, or even a solid bronze colored nut.
There will surely be a time when I've got the itch to buy something for the car that may not be on my schedule, and won't break the bank. Another set of summer-only lug-nuts might very well fit the bill.

I had my reservations about getting any sort of colored lug nut. Especially a closed end colored lug bc I was afraid it would throw too much of my accent color into my color scheme. I did consider getting some dark red open ended lugs due to the reduced surface area they could compliment my caliper paint while keeping it form getting too busy. I thought the Volk Rays formula lug nuts were the perfect solution to this problem....had they been around $200 cheaper.
I was so (still am actually) excited about getting my Vossens in the mail and onto my car that the lug nut dilemma quickly became stressful for me. This all changed when Kuro (the man who man my Vossen purchase possible) randomly sent me a pic of one of my wheels as he was getting ready to pack them up to ship them to me. I wish I could share the picture on this post, but my phone just won't cooperate. I'll post it in my garage now so you can look at it trust me it's worth it.
Anyway in the picture Kuro had set 5 blue closed ended Rays lug nuts inside my CV4's. I'm not sure if all wheels would look this great with a colored lug but the Vossens had no trouble pulling them off. The blue lugs looked so good that I nearly bought a set and said to hell with my color scheme. Go checkout the photo Rochchester I chalkenfe you not to love it and agree with me. You'll have some colored lugs in the mail within the month.

This looks pretty good at a flat, 90* point of view. However, I can't help but be anxious about how long they are. Ultimately, that (and the redonkulous $300 pricetag) is what kept me from those long lug nuts. But at $80... maybe.
I'm very interested in how this turns out for you.

Did you get the blue caps or the orange (amber, gold whatever)? I like amber looks against the Moonlight White we both have.

First of all THANK YOU for posting that pic up for me man. It really blows not being able to setup a thread the way it should be setup. With visual aids.
I got the gunmetal with the red caps and red bottoms. That other gold color was the only pic I had available to put in my garage for you so I went ahead and shared it. The blue Rays in the CV4 photo weren't for sale. Kuro was kind enough to show me a few different looks with the lugs that he had on hand. He realized how much of a PITA the lug issue was turning out to be. Great guy that Kuro is and his customer service is off the charts.
You've got me a little worried over the length of the Godsnow (formerly Godspeed) lug nuts that I have coming next week. I feel like I'm going to love them either way, but in my head the gunmetal portion of the lugs were only slightly visible when installed on the CV4s. I hope they workout for selfish reasons as well as opening up a reasonably priced 3 piece lug nut set for other members who like the volk Rays style of lug.

I suppose we'll find out soon enough. I'm not going anywhere.
In the meantime, I've been lurking around the net since reading your comments, weighing the options of a gold-colored lugnut against my Vossens and Moonlight White. Just now reassessing whatever my original decision making process was when I selected the chrome McGard's over the gold ones... which are more of a bronze than actual gold, if this is any indication:

I like those. I really liked the bronze Rays that you were contemplating in the first few posts on this thread. That being said, the chrome McGards that you purchased do look really good on your CVTs.
I wonder if we could get a vendor to post up a few pics of Vossens with various colors n varieties of lug nuts? If any vendors are reading this perhaps you'd be willing to help us out?

Have you seen the Project Kics Iconix lugs yet? They look similar to the R40s from Kics but they have end caps available in 4 different colors. Red, black, blue, and WHITE. Before I pulled the trigger on the godsnows I was looking at the Iconix..black chrome body with a white cap. I figure these lugs would look excellent on our cars. They are $260. Kinda steep for lug nuts, but almost reasonably priced when you compare them with other top notch lug nuts that are out there.

I get that.
