Volk GT-7

Found what I thought was a pretty good deal on Craigslist. Picked up a set of Volk GT-7 with tires. Tires are a little old and have about 60% tread left so that won't last long with my driving habits. Fronts are 19x9.5 +30 with 245/40/19 and rears are 19x9.5 +24 with 275/40/19.

Couldn't wait to get them on, so I put them on last night. Sorry for the dark picture.

The rears poke out a bit, but I don't mind it and I haven't noticed any rubbing in the short test drive last night.

Wouldn't you know it, the day I put on new wheels it snows all night.

Luckily most the snow was gone in the morning and the roads were just wet in the morning. Had to jump the car since I was using the radio during the wheel swap and used a cigarette lighter air pump to pump up the tires to spec. Took her out for a drive and noticed a little wobbling. I'm hoping it was due to the slush on the road and not a bent wheel. I didn't notice any bends when inspecting them.

Overall though they are better than what I had on the car previously, see pics below, and I like the look of the 19" better than the 20" so far.

Yep, nice wheels. When getting new tires be sure to get the proper diameter in the back. Your front 245/40/19s are perfect (although a bit stretched on a 9.5) but the back should be 275/35/19, and the best tire size for the back would be 285/35/19 diameter wise.

Thanks!

Yeah, I want to go with 255 up front if I can fit them. The rears will be toast soon, the supercharger will help with that. I would like to fit 285 but the 275 are already pretty tight under the fenders so I'll stick with that.

Congrats on your new shoes. I saw they don't come with center caps?

No center caps. Already found a set of used ones. Meeting next weekend to pick them up.
