Winter Tires

Hi,

This may seem like a stupid question but I have a 2009 g37x coupe and order winter tires 215/55r18 on 18x 7.5 rims but am now being told it's the wrong size.

If someone could clarify this, I'd greatly appreciate it !

That size is fine. Only 0.453" taller than your OEM setup

OEM size would have been 225/50/18

225/50/18 .... ?? That's the stock sidewall size for the G37? Wow. Well anyway, I would have just stayed with the oem size and bought a set of Bridgestone Blizzak lm-60 tires, or the Continental DWS Extreme all-season tires and called it a day. 225's are thin enough to carve through the snow in. It's not that wide really.
