Merchants tire scratched wheels
Had some As/3 out on my stock g37 coupe wheels. Replaced all four stock tires for the first time. After the vehicle left the bay I went outside and checked the work and ran my finger around all four wheels. There was small nicks on three, one had a rather long gouge on the lip. And another had a long scratch on the face. New tires have never been out on these wheels so the damage came from their workmanship. I thought taking it to merchants would be a safer bet.
Luckily something told me to take pictures of my wheels. On my phone I took decent pictures of the wheels prior to the work being done.
What should I expect when I talk to a manager? Have them replace all three? Repair them? Should I stop payment on my cc for the tires?

When discount tire did it to one of mine. They ordered me a new wheel that day. Now the replacement sport wheel cracked and some other things so luckily they had my old wheel and put it back on while they order a new wheel.

so hard to find good help these days. I have a local place that did my vossen wheels, switched the TPMS etc. They've done other things for me as well. Just a small chain but they have a really good tire guy there. He takes his time, etc. They also let me stand there and watch the guy while he's doing it. I've gotten to know the guys in the shop that way. I think they know I will be watching and they are more careful and take pride in their work. I also tip the guys when he does a good job. Throw him $20 or something. Then he really wants to take good care of me. Best to try to find a smaller shop or company to deal with so you can create a relationship there. Easier said then done I know.

Spoke with the district manager and they want to have a wheel specialist come and look at the wheels to tell if they can be refinished. Do these types of services restore the wheel 100%
I filed a claim with BBB because Mercants wanted to jerk me around. I was very understanding when this happened, I understand mistakes happen. But they have been very unwilling to make the effort to contact me, and have not been proactive with the situation.
Today I got in contact with someone from the cooperate office that owns merchants. They said they would go to the district managers manager and have them contact me.
I have had luck with BBB before. If this doesn't work out I will maybe file in small claims.

my 2 cents are to file for stop payment with your credit card company. A few years back I had gone to NTB (also owned by Merchants?) and they yanked me around.....card company got me the money back
Same experience for me on my previous car (Eclipse) at Discount Tire. I had new tires mounted on aftermarket 17" wheels and they scratched/gouged all 4. They quickly offered to replace all of the wheels and even let me select different wheels since they were going to have to order them anyways. I ended up with an 18" set of wheels in perfect condition (paid price difference), like my previous set was before their mistake, and they ended up with a satisfied customer with many more tires to buy in the future.

Thats how it should be done. Id understand if it was surface scratches, but when they are gouged its not really repairable. I understand mistakes happen, but is important companies handle situations properly.
