Found a great local deal so I decided it was time! The tires that came with the wheels were damn close to brand new and I had to rip them off due to the height of the tires, which sucks..

245/35/20 fronts (should of went 255/35/20) and 285/30/20 Rear.

Definitely rubs when there is added weight to the rear of the car. I need to eliminate this. Any suggestions?

Was thinking of dialing a little negative camber and a set of anti roll bars. Can the factory camber be adjusted to the rear, even if slightly?

Any camber kits you recommend? Prices? Just spent 3k on this wheel project so I really need to keep costs as low as possible.

 

spc rear camber kit with toe bolts, done....looks great, i'm rocking GTR wheels on a coupe

 

Rear camber & toe bolts are relatively cheap. I think the SPC kits run under $200. I have the SPL kit which is quite a bit heftier and a little more expensive. I believe there is at least one other sedan running the GTR wheels.

yes, camber & toe (once you get the bolts installed).

 

So all I need are bolts? Whats the point of the kits then? Sorry, I'm new to suspension modding. I've done a lot of searching but haven't found needed info.

 

The rear camber arms allow adjustments to the camber.

The rear toe bolts allow adjustments to the toe (you need to have the toe within specs unless you love spending money on new tires).

The rear camber kits are relatively easy to install but the toe bolts will require some Dremell work.


Just remember to get an alignment after any major suspension work.

I am lowered on coilovers but only have rear camber arms. I did not need toe-bolts to get within specs.

 

And after all that is said and done, black out some of that chrome grille or get the oem option.

 

Already working on it! There is too much chrome on the front end and no chrome wheels to balance it out anymore.

BTW, what are the specs on the GTR wheels, look to be similar to the Z specs but even less positive offset, looks like it'll be a bit tricky getting those back ones tucked but it's been done before

 

Thanks!! I wanted to do the window trim as well. Specs are 20" x 9.5" +20mm offset (front) 20" x 10.5" +20mm offset (rear).

I'm going to take it to an alignment shop after work to see what they can do. Was reading somewhere on here that you can dial about 1 degree neg camber with stock arms.

When I finally get some decent pics, ill probably go nuts lol. Next project - BIG BRAKE KIT!

 

I think the grill and moldings look fine but the headlights def need to be blacked
