Just picked-up a 2009 G37XS and I need to buy a winter tire package. I have read numerous posts here and I'm confused about which options I should consider because I keep reading threads where folks are concerned about fitting alternate rim sizes over specific brake systems. I believe my car has the smaller brakes/rotors, but I'm hoping someone can confirm this for me. Here is a pic I took


The tire size is 225-50r18 now but I am hoping to buy a winter set on 17" steel rims for better snow traction and lower cost. Can I do it? What tire/rim size should I be looking for?

If you're fine w/ the look, I'm sure there's quite a few members that will sell their 17" stock wheels, just search the wheel marketplace here & G35DRIVER.COM - INFINITI G35 (SKYLINE) FORUMS, GALLERY, CHAT, AND MORE. if you can't find any post a WTB (Want to buy) thread w/ the wheels you're looking for.

 

If you stick to our winter tire and wheel selector online there will be no fitment/clearance issues with what you purchase.
