Not necessarily. In general, yes they will try and stick to stock sizes only, but depending on nature/amount of the size deviation, and the discretion of the individual tire service manager, you can get non-stock sized tires installed. Failing that, you can always get them to install them on loose wheels (i.e. you take them off your car and bring them in), provided the wheels are sized within the mounting specs from the tire manufacturer.

The PSS tire is completely different than the old PS2, so that review is useless (besides the fact that it was written clear back in 2009!!)

Over the years, I've had multiple sets of both types of the Michelins, albeit on separate cars, but hands down, I prefer the PSS in every way. I think they are worth every penny.

Last question, I swear, then I’m pulling the trigger. I’m going with hankook Ventus. Right now I’ve prices the summer evo2s at $808 in the 275/245 size. I justice the Ventus S1 noble2 for 896, which is advertised as ultra-high performance all season. I live in the DC area. To a “non car guy,” what are the practical differences between the two Hankook tires (evo2 vs noble 2/summer vs all season).

Basically, what is better, “max performance summer” or “ultra high performance all season”

Thank You

All-season will not have quite as much grip but you can drive in snow with confidence. Max and ultra summer tires give up when the temperatures drop to freezing.

I just put NITTO MOTIVO ALL SEASON HP on...Amazing handling...great reviews. Around $190. a piece mounted.Took off Bridgestones summer weight. These will stay all year round.60,000 mile warranty but on our car it is actually useless because we cannot do full rotation as tires are staggered. Just side to side. Read up on these tires.
Made in USA by a Japanese company. New composite and shape of treads .
The best kept tire secret around.

Many have done the 245/275 combo, you'll have no issues w/ that setup.
