This is a question I hope to get answered in advance. 2010x sedan with Hotchki sways so far, with Swift springs and Modme () rear end links in the mail. I was thinking about getting spacers after the springs are fitted, but then I thought that I might want aftermarket wheels. Currently on stock 17's.

The VMR 710 wheels look nice and some people on here have fitted them before, the only thing is that I don't know what size would be best for me. I would prefer a square setup for maintenance purposes. I think they come in 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5

Which would work best with the springs? I assume I would not need spacers with these wheels, but as the thread states I need help with this.

 

Do you realize that switching to 19" wheels will increase your unsprung weight and decrease overall performance? Shame to put all that effort into the suspension and then negate it with the wheels. Just my $0.02 before you purchase...

 

RTom919: May I suggest taking a reading through the thread in my signature.

First;

Second not all 19" wheels increase rotational inertia. There are a lot plenty of wheel manufactures that actually reduce rotational inertia with larger wheels from the OEM fitment. Of course that same wheel in a smaller fitment will be less. IE My 19x11 HRE P43SC weighed in around 20-22lbs. And more importantly the manufacturing reduce it's rotational inertia from my WORKs and OEM wheels.

 

I was in the same boat not too long ago. After pricing out a set of 19" tires it just made more sense financially to opt for the 20" wheels instead. I'm also running staggered for the spring/summer on my AWD because it just looks better. This is my current setup:

20x9 +32
245/35/20

20x10.5 +42
285/30/20

I haven't had issues with rubbing and also the AWD hasn't had any issues (knock on wood).

 

i am running 20x10.5 all around on 275/30/20 with no problems at all.
my wheels are lighter than the stock ones.
i am lowered on eibach pro kit and have the sways as well.
No rubbing either.
