I'm doing the math with rimsntires.com and it's looking like I can swing the +20 Vertini on the front with no issues since it's only 8.5" wide, or even a +25 if they make them. I'm already running 20mm spacers on the stock wheels, so my offsets are currently +25 in the front and there's definitely another 1/2" to safely go more aggressive.

For the rears, both the +35 and +45 would definitely work without rubbing. Just the issue of clearing the rear caliper, which is much smaller than the front and shouldn't be an issue I would think!

+35 Rear

And here's my current stance. I definitely wanted to go at least another 5mm wider front and back (25mm spacers). And I don't think that with the +35 Vertini in the rear bringing this wheel out 1/2" further than my current stance would cause rubbing.

You didn't mention what tire sizes you're wanting, the above pic (post#15)is a stretched setup so you can run wider rims &/or aggressive offsets and still keep the tire from rubbing.

I like more rubber on the road so the stretched setup isn't for me, but a lot of members here go that route.

IMO I'd go for a more traditional fit that won't require stretched tires, excessive camber, spacers, etc. There are a lot of nice wheel choices that will clear the BBK w/ offsets that won't cause you to have to alter camber or go w/ a smaller tread width.
Here's a thread w/ wheel pics on sedans, not all have BBK, some are stretched/cambered, but more ideas on what WILL work

Here's a good pic of InCurve wheels that will clear BBK and have a nice look

Stance is another brand that has several styles that clear BBKs.

My pics above of my car are of the factory wheels and tires. All OEM stuff, just with 20mm spacers.

For tire sizes, I'm planning 245/35 Front and 275/30 Rear. Thanks!

I wasn't referring to your car, the car was in post #15 w/ the stretched setup.

Those 245/275 combo makes a nice staggered look. If you're set on the Vertinis hopefully you can find the set that will clear. Otherwise just keep searching the brands, should be able to find the look you're after.
Good Luck!

I am almost 100% certain those rears will clear the rear Akebono's, they're not gargantuan by any means. Even the rear 2007 OEM sport 18s can clear the rear Akebonos.

FWIW, here's a front 8.5 +24 with 245 wide 20s. Roughly an Eibach drop and just enough space to comfortably clear the Ake's. Bit of camber.

I also feel like sharing this. And it could just be an issue with my ride. But, having the fronts flush with the fenders may clear regular driving, but i've always had trouble with it when the front suspension is loaded/fully compressed and turning at the same time, like after hitting a dip and changing directions -- the tire will rub on the fender, even when i had my BC coil dampers at near full stiff (i.e. track.)

You mean your ever-teasing set-up, right?

Good point Mike, same EXACT experience I had when I had my previous 20s (on the front) w/ 15mm spacers to bring them flush. Since the front fenders have that angle roll rather than the flat roll of the rear fender it rubbed way too often. That's the main reason I backed off the aggressive offset in the front, I could have flushed it up w/ a +32 offset but I'm so glad I went w/ +40, nice to drive without worry

If not having a picture of it mounted on the car is considered sharing, then yes, you did.

*whew* Nice to know it's not just me for a change. Yay for great and functional looks.

Truth be told, i have a new set-up in boxes right now. The current Enkei's are fine, but also as part of my goal to achieve more suspension travel, i also went a little less aggressive with specs this time, just like you. You're bad influence, Brad.

Great now we have you and Robert teasing the masses w/ the "new setups"
Are you going to just send snippets along the way too??

Oh it's nothing special, it looks like what i have now, just different offset and size.

Your wife and mine should get together, they already have something in common!

Nice! Thanks for the info! I went ahead and ordered the Vertini's anyway! I went with 245/35/20x8.5 +25 Front & 275/30/20x10 +35 Rear. Gonna take almost a month to receive the +25's though! Thanks for all the help! Can't wait to see how this works out! I'm thinking with my mild Tanabe drop, I hope to have adequate clearance in the front!

Since you'll be higher the wheels will stick out a bit more but you'll have more room between the tire edge and the inside of the fender roll, shouldn't have a problem for most of your driving, just the big compression situations like Mike was talking about will probably rub.
Glad you got what you really wanted, get those pics up when they're on.

If anything, those front fenders could be rolled in a bit if it causes too much issues, right?

Also, how do you guys think the 20x10 +35's in the rear will be with passengers in the back?
