Revisiting the tire size question...

2010 G37S Vert - everything stock at this point.

I've read through the existing threads on the tire size topic and am definitely considering the upgrade to Michelin Super Sports, 245/40 in the front and 275/35 in the rear. These will replace the Bridgestone OEMs that I squeezed about 29k miles out of. Not too shabby.

In getting pricing on these, some of the tire guys are telling me "no problem on the fit" and some are telling me that they (or in a few cases, their computer) is flagging these as potentially big enough to rub both in front and in back.

I know many of you have put these on your verts. Given the stock 19" 8.5/9 rims and suspension:

- Have any of you experienced a rubbing problem just swapping the wider tires on?
- Did you use spacers with the stock suspension? If so, did you use 10 mm in front and 15mm in rear to match the spacing to the struts?
- Anyone have before (225/45, 245/40) and after (245/40, 275/35) pics?
- Did you notice a difference in handling/turning radius?
- Did you notice a difference in gas mileage?

Love the info available on the forum - glad I found you all!
