Question Spacers on OEM wheels without lowering

I was wondering...
I'm not planning to lower my G37xS sedan, but was interested in maybe installing 20mm spacers.

Any benefit to doing this?

Benefit would be having a better looking wheel stance than it was stock I guess. But the look will only be complete if you get a drop to cover the gap.

Would the spacers visually make the gap seem less or more by pushing out the wheels?
I would think the widen stance would help the handling...yes?

Coming from 2 FX's which were lowered and with spacers, I'm just trying to improve the ride/handling of the G as much as I can without sacrificing ground clearance & comfort.

My car is 12 G37xS. No drop or wheels. Just spacers right now. H&R DRM 20MM all around. Very easy to install.

Here are the pics from mine:

Thanks for sharing the pics.

Are those front & rear?
Any difference from the side view facing the car?
Has the spacers changed the handling or not?

Top is rear. Bottom two are front. No difference from the side. Handling difference is small if even present. I did the mod for cosmetics.

Excuse the unsolicited opinion, but to me these pics show OEM as slightly too deep, and the 20mm spacers pushing the rims out too far. Neither looks exactly right to me, when looking very specifically at this perspective of the rims to the fenders.

Perhaps 10mm spacers, then.

Really? My first thought is that it would be a detriment going outside OEM specs in this respect, although I also suspect any change would be unnoticeable in daily driving. IDK... guesses.

OK digging his back up again since I think I'm ready to install my B2D 20mm spacers...But I think I might have over extended myself (pun intended) when I bought the 20mm ones...Maybe I should've gotten the 15mm ones...All the pics I see with 20mm installed have also been lowered...So not lowering my car, G37xS, I'm worried the 20mm will stick out too much and look like a ghetto-mobile... The one set of pics above with the xS is with 15mm...Will 5 more mm make a big difference? I just don't want her to look like a monster truck...

Maybe after this I'll install my Anniversary lip and rear spoilers too! Yay! for procrastination!!!

Those 7.5" duckfeet are going to look really odd when flush on the Sedan at OEM height. But that's just my opinion. Your car, your opinion. 15mm would probably be better.

BTW, the OP on this thread ended up dropping his Sedan on Swift Springs. Just saying.

I ran 15mm and 20mm spacers on the old sport sedan wheels I had on my G. Only because I needed the clearance for the BBK, it was flush but really didn't make a difference to me visually. Could just be me though.

Ultimately I went with rays and am dropping the car this weekend.

Yeah I read that's what the OP did...which makes me worried about the stance if/when I install the 20mm spacers....I'm going to have to try them out and see if or how odd they will look. Installing them on the front or back, would give the most obvious answer? And if I decide to go 15mm does anyone wanna trade for 20mm? Straight up!
