tpms pairing question

I just installed new wheels with brand new tpms sensors (aftermarket but same frequency as oem). Was planning on doing the diy tpms reset but curiously my tpms system has not failed at all yet... Not even a peep! Does it take a while for the system to get upset? I drove the car several times for a total of ten miles at up to 50 mph. Can the system reset itself upon detecting new sensors?

2010 s sedan.

Thanks

It takes awhile to "lose" the old ones. Keep driving and the alarm should eventually come in.

Yes, they do... that's not what I was asking though.

The computer has since faulted, as expected. Just need to get around to doing the reset now.

Thanks!
