It possible the wheels were not hubcentric. Where you using hub rings?? Also nice choice on the TSW wheels.

Wheels look nice in a stock kind of way. Def an upgrade if you had 18's previously.

5% all around and 50% on the windshield
Why not just drive around with a welding mask on. And a tint checkpoint? Big brother's coming down.

We actually swapped to a different set of hub rings at one point because the edges of the initial rings were damaged from the wheels being put on and off so many times, so unless the rings Discount Tire sent with the wheels and the rings Dunn Tire ordered were incorrect, I don't think that was the issue.

I really like the TSW wheels, but I'm not telling my wife how much more they were...

It could be that your first set of wheels had a defect. But it worked out well for you though. The TSW's are better IMO.

The holes and bolt pattern might all be correct, but quite possibly not at the center of the wheel. Perhaps off by some minute amount. They should put the wheel(s) on their balance jig and measure radial runout.

Measuring Tire and Wheel Runout

Could be the wheels are perfectly fine, but the tires have some minute amount of run out.

For comparison, they can measure one of the stock wheels/tires.

Glad to hear you're getting a better set. I don't know much about either brand, but I do know quality of after-market rims vary wildly. So many people "upgrade" their stock rims to inferior low quality poorly fitting wheels. Obviously there are very high quality rims out there too, just make sure you are actually upgrading rather than downgrading.

Pics?

Yesterday, I went in after work, and they swapped to the new hub rings. It was horrible. Vibration was noticeable at 45mph.

I went in this morning and they rebalanced and put the old hub rings back in, and it seems like they may have finally gotten it right.

This has been really frustrating for me and the two tire places I've been to, but I'm hoping it's all resolved now...

This isn't the best picture, but it's what I have. I like the way these wheels look on the car much better.
