Help Best possible offset and size lips for a coupe

Best possible offset and size lips for a coupe

Hello guys, i am looking into rebuilding some 19" wheels to 20" step lips. What would be the best offset to go with and lip size. I dont want crazy camber nor stretch tires as im in NY. I will probably want to run 285 tires in the rear and 245 or 255 tires in the front. Oh and i dont want to do fender work either. Thanks in advance.

9.5+30 , 10.5+35 for the 255f/285r tires

Thanks rAiN but how about fitting a 20 x 11 in the rear? I would love to fit a 4.5 or 5" lip in the back.

20x11 +38 w285/30s with oem camber works fine for me w 4"rear lips. No rubbing, only mod is a trimmed rear backet.

Also on the front you can go 245/35 on a 9.5 +25 no rubbing as well. and no mods on the front.

thanks DPE G, imo your set up is perfect and i will love it if comes out like yours. But from our PM's i got a lil worried when you said because of the concavitivity of the wheel you were able to get the 4" lip in the rear. My dilema is ill be sending the faces to wheelflip.com to build them and they are in California so i cant just stop by to test fit the fitment before they finalize everything. I think im going to go with your offsets though.

You may want to look into wheelflip a little more. I have heard two stories where one persons wheels were not sealed back together correctly and another where it took months to get back the wheels he sent them. I think I read them both on he g35 forums.

I got my wheels re-drilled and lips re-polished from wheelflip. They did a good job considering my situation. If I invested more money in getting my wheels fixed, they would have came out a lot better. It took about 2 weeks for them to re-drill it and after I came in for the test fit I decided to stay with the current offset. Then it took them another week to re-polish it.

Luckly I live 15 minutes away from them or else I probly would have just sold the wheels. Really didn't want to deal with shipping.

I'll keep looking but I read good reviews about them, and the problem is that they are the only ones that rebarrel volk wheels

Ok so i sent my wheels out to get rebarrel but im still trying to figure out the offset for the front. Basically i will need to use a 15mm spacer to clear the bbk up front. Im trying to have a decent lip size up front. Im thinking 20x9.5 +35, im just worried that this high off an offset will not really give me a lip in the front. If i do the front as 20x9.5 +35 and then use the spacer to bring it down to +20 will it clear the fender?

I have 20x9.5 +22 with 245/35 for the fronts. It really just depends on how low you're dropped, the stiffness of your suspension, and also the negative camber. I currently rub on bumps but planning on raising it up a bit.

I'm really low but I will be going back up a tad bit. My main concern is the offset I should go with before the 15mm spacer. And then what size lip is it going to have.
