Dunlop stock tire: Does it matter how you rotate it?

I have a 2009 G37XS that came with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A/S. Past weekend had oil change with pennzoil ultra synthetic at local shop (first time using Penzoil, wow) and free tire rotation. I just notice the tires were not rotated front to back nor using the X pattern but rather randomly placed. Two of my tires had some scuffed mark which clued me in.

Does it matter how the tires were rotated?

If you can rotate them (I don't know if they can be due to size/rotation/tread pattern) then they should be rotated from to back to maintain even wear.

Thats my problem, I dont know how to tell if they can be rotated. The size of the tires are the same all around. Since they mixed up the tires, I am concern they are not going to perform the way they should.

The dunlop sportmax tires are not directional, so it won't matter how you rotate them. You will not have even wear if the tires are not rotated front to back as BB said.

Those have an asymmetrical tread design, thus allowing you to rotate them any position on the car.
