Wheel Question.....hopefully a unique question...
Debating about getting new wheels for my 09 G37x. I am thinking 19", either Vossen CV2 or Vertini Magic to replace my OEM 17", which will become my dedicated winter setup. The question is, if I don't do a drop do the larger wheels make it look worse than the stock set-up??
I know it looks better dropped but I am not sure I want to deal with all of that....adding spring, camber kits, toe bolts, alignment issues, shorter strut life, harsher ride, bottoming out, plowing snow, etc.
I appreciate the feedback,
RJ

The question to ask yourself is "does wheel gap bother me that much?". Just envision your current setup with less sidewall and more rim in a different spoke style.
The gap doesn't bug me enough to drop it since I live in a very hilly area with sloped driveways and lots of road humps.
I believe this is sniper27's car with OEM 19" and no drop, looks good to me:

Everyone has different opinions, given you will be driving the car in the winter, unless you want to raise it up again when you put on the other wheels think about how it will look for a few months lowered with stock 17's and rather you want to deal with the lack of clearance for snow/junky roads.

I agree. I have the coupe S 19's on a regular journey and no drop (...yet, waiting on my c/o's to come in). I can live with it even if I weren't going to lower it. BUT, when you are getting flashy aftermarkets, eliminating the wheel gap is a must...I'm lowering (only about an inch or so from stock) b/c I want a stiffer ride, the elimination of the wheel gap is just the byproduct.
