I have these tires on my G, and so far i think they are a pretty descent tire. I'm thinking of purchasing a set of these tires for my 19 inch Acura TL wheels. Just wanted opinions on what you guys may think of these tires?

 

I'm not a fan. There are a lot better performance oriented all seasons out there....

RS-As are a truly horrible tire for our 326 HP cars, these are much better suited for 240hp camrys & accords. The sidewalls are weak and the traction is poor. I really liked my Dunlop Sport Signature all seasons and have heard good things about Toyo Proxes. Pretty much any V rated or higher all season tire should perform better than those RS-As IMO.

I don't have any complaints on my stock RS-As. They are wearing even and I should get a little over 30,000 miles on them. My G is used primarily for highway trips. When ever I replace tires on my cars I always step up to a better tire, which the DWS is.
You can go on the Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels web site. They have surveys and ratings from owner's of tires in whatever size and purpose you need. The DWS is rated high the RS_A is rated low.

 

I would not spend money on the RSA. They are fine as stock tires but for the money, there are better options out there.

Rsa's suck in the rain too. Years back, bounced my camaro off a guard rail because they hydroplaned at the wrong time

 

+1 I replaced the RSA's with the Michelins and they are a great all around tire!

 

You can do much better. They're OEM for a reason.

If money was no object I'd get the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Sport. But of the three above I'll likely buy the YK580. It's new and gets great reviews.

 

I'm sure they aren't the best value for the money, so there are better choices out there if you're buying new tires.

However, are these tires really that bad? Seems strange the so many car manufacturers would use them even on fairly high-end cars (like the Infiniti M) if they were that bad... In particular, I don't think they would want the liability of installing tires with poor wet traction...

I don't like these tires either, but they will last a long time. I agree in the rain they can easily hydroplane. I still have them on my stockies, almost time for the real deal w/ the summers They are oem because they are comfortable and will last forever for the avg customer. Bottom line don't get them again! For all season go for those new kumho ecsta 4x, sidewall is better vs the continental dws. The continental is still a solid choice though. See what the diff is in price and go from there.

 

I had to replace the two rear RSAs about a year ago when my car had about 10K miles. The tread was very thin at that time. Would not buy them again.
