Help Trimming rear dust/grease cap

Trimming rear dust/grease cap

I'm considering trimming the rear dust/grease caps by 2-3mm to be able to fit the center caps that came with my wheels. Has anyone done that? I love the fitment of my wheels and don't want to alter it in any way which is why I'm avoiding spacers.

Thoughts?
