Replacing OEM Goodyear Eagle RSAs
Replacing OEM Goodyear Eagle RSAs
34,000 miles on my '09 g37x sedan and it is time to replace the stock RSA's. I never loved them.... Even though I live in New England, I'm not switching to a summer/winter setup. All wheel drive and the RSAs suited my needs fine but i'm looking to step it up a bit. So I've been looking at AS tires that are quiet, have decent handling attributes, decent snow performance and have narrowed it down to the Michelin Primacy MXV4.
Can anyone with similar requirements and experience with the MXV4's let me know your thoughts? I have an appointment to put the on this afternoon.
Thanks
Mac

I take it you're still on the stock 17s, what about the Eagle GTs. Just picked these up for my wife's Civic and handling is much improved over the RSAs. They handle rain very well, only thing I haven't tested is snow yet, but they are all season.
Keep kidding yourself that any one A/S tire is better than another when you're rolling with 330 hp.
I'll happily pay $900 for Super Sports every 20-30k miles than trying to get something just because they will last 1/2 the life of the car.
I understand that the Super Sports is great in the summer. How good is it in the snowy winter?
I'm in the same boat (stock 17's, all season) and will likely go with the General G-MAX AS-03 or the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, depending on sales going on at the time, and how the future reviews of the General come out.
The Continental ExtremeContact DWS is a great tire too, but some say they're a little soft on the sidewalls. Still I think any of these is way better than OEM.

It probably sucks in the snow. I missed the line that OP is in Northeast and is not getting snow tires.
My comment on A/S tires is that, they both are less than satisfactory in regular high speed driving. To say one is THAT MUCH better is like saying which one sucks less.....
TireRack reviews are useful and I read them before I buy my tires. People do have complaints about both tires.
