Damn, pictures when you install them. I just installed 20mm front 25mm rear and am already considering 25mm all around haha the fronts still look kind of tucked.

 

I just ordered 20mm and 25mm for my G. I'm a little nervous about rubbing on my Vossen 084's/Vredesteins (Front: 245/35 Rear: 275/30). I'll review back here when they come in...

 

These are in inches and I was wondering if they are same things... I get back from overseas in a month and want to do the same thing to my car.

ok...so wheel spacers/adapters are pretty much the same thing. ATCG37s, please don't go the cheap route when getting spacers. Get quality ones. You don't want your spacer/tire falling off when you're driving on the highway do you?

 

I find it strange that you all feel a bolt on spacer with studs is safer than replacing studs with longer ones and using a spacer that way. Bolt on spacers have 2 spots where they can get loose and cause problems as opposed to stud replacement only has one set of nuts that could come loose. I will agree bolt on's are WAY easier to install but I dont think they are better. I have run spacers on my last 2 cars and ONLY use stud replacement with zero issues.

 

Interesting, I'm learning a lot about spacers... what are some quality brands to consider when purchasing them?

My only concern is mounting the wheel adaptor/spacer to the hub. I picked these as they have the Lugs already pressed in, but what locks the spacer/adapter to the hub? Anybdoy got some pics of their install...?
Only other ? is the tire size... I'm running OEM Potenzas right now, but will be
getting the 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 tires soon... No issues with that tire size
and the 20mm?

 

i aprreciate it. this will be my first mod. i have to keep the stock rims on though so i was just gonna lower the car and push the wheels out some to make it look better for now. what would be a good spacer? a good lowering spring too if you want to PM me cause i still can't find a great post on lowering springs. any help is help. thanks again.

2 key words of advice

-Don't run anything with multiple bolt patterns (less metal = less stability)

-Anytime running spacers you want one which is hubcentric and made to your vehicles specification. Which in the case of Nissan/Infiniti would be 66.1
(built in 1 piece hubcentric rings > slip in hubcentric rings)


Currently I'm running tein h-techs with 25mm spacers in all 4 corners on my g37s and it sits mildly flush.

 

What would be the best brand for spacers for our vehicles then? I need to pick up some 10mm as soon as possible for my rear!

 

I recommend Project Kics or H&R, those are pretty good. Project Kics are the only ones to make bolt on 10mm's I think...out of the more known brands on this forum.

 

contrary to what someone mentioned earlier the stud replacement variety are general considered more secure. The downside: they are more difficult to install because you need to replace the OEM studs. The "bolt on" or "adapter" variety are less secure as the spacer is really only fastened down by 5 small bolts (much smaller and less robust than lug nuts) not to mention these types add extra rotating mass (5 more studs + 5 bolts). Another thing to consider...not all wheel types can accept the adapter type spacer as you need "reliefs" or "cutouts" on the back of your wheels for the OEM studs to fit into, for example on the 370z the fronts couldnt except these types of spacers bc the cutouts were not deep enough. With that being said, I have ran BOTH styles with zero issues for thousands of miles...install them correctly and you will not have issues. I would recommend getting a hubcentric ones as well to minimize vibration.

 

And for those who will be using spacers with OEM wheels you should consider doing this to prevent vibration. Wheel Vibration Fix
