Spacers
Spacers
Hey guys. Just dropped my G coupe and I'm looking for Spacers. Want it to be as flush as possible. So what size? Also, I'm in Miami and Id like to buy locally. Anyone know of a place? Thanks!
20mm all around is clean. Could even go 25mm depending how aggressive you want it.
Online is probably cheapest. Several brands/styles. I have Eibach spacers 66.1mm Center Bore. Hubcentric. They just fasten onto the original studs. Good luck.

It depends on your tire size. If you're running oem sizes, then you'll want to go with 20mm all around, possibly 25 on the front. If you have a staggered setup, like mine (245/40f 275/35r) then go with something a little smaller like 20 front and 15 rear. I have H&R's that work great, but I've also heard that Ichiiba works well. Just make sure you get hub-centric spacers so you won't have any vibrating issues.
Plus, you'll want to be in the market for a camber kit to counteract the pushing out of the wheels.
Also, there's a little known search function about a page length up ^^ right in the middle of the menu bar. There have been numerous threads about which spacers do what and where to get them.

I currently do not run a camber kit, but probably should. Dropping the G on Eibachs and poking the wheels out a little bit causes a very minor change in your camber. I think I only have one wheel that's very, very slightly out of specs.
Around $100 per pair for name brand. $75 for eBay spacers. If you go with nutstyle, it is as easy as removing the lug nuts and the wheel and then fastening the spacers to the hub.
If you have a conservative drop like Eibach Pro Kit, there isn't a need for a camber kit. Of course it won't really hurt if you do get one either. You should always get an alignment after lowering though.

-i got 20mm on my stock18's(18”x8” 225/50/18 +43 ). 25 would make it hellaflush. 20 is just how i like it, flush.
-you needa research offset&tiresize before you can really slap on spacers w/out rub.
-go for the h&r DRMs... high quality no vibrations but kinda pricey ~140+ for a pair
-you can and SHOULD installl it yourself. dont take it to a shop, theyre prolly gonna impact wrench it down and youre gonna vibrate. install is easy anyways.
-no need for alignment nor camber from what i know
