Looks better than the 235/255 combo I had previously, and my traction issues are no more.

what tires did you go with and how much work to get it not to rub?

I though max that's possible with 20/25s were 245/275 with falken/toyos?

Ya looks goood, but there is still a decent gap still there cuz of the 30 series, overall looks good I just like either drop or tire filling up the wheelwell.

 

The guy that mounted them said that nothing was needed and it's not rubbing at all. I think it's because of the sidewall of the Hankooks. Tires like Vredestein and Bridgestone with the str8 sidewall probably would have required some bracket shaving.

Yeah there's some gap there. I could have went with 35 series tires and beefed it up a bit, but I like the look, so no worries there.

All in all, I'm just happy that I have traction now. On 255/30's, it was miserable, even with 40-45 PSI.

 

Strange about traction...But yes that still is a very good set up and your car looks great! so a win win situation

interesting! there were some discussion about hankook's sidewall being too big for 25+ offsets, but it looks like you pulled it off!

Would you be able to do a walk around video of your car?

 

If I have time tomorrow during light hours after work, I'll post a walk around vid for sure. The Hankook sidewalls aren't as tall as Vredesteins or Bridgestones. I know my buddy who has Vossen 84s with 32/39 offsets and Vredestein 255/285 30's look a bit bigger than my Hankook 255/285 30's.

I even e-mailed D2 who sold me the CV1's last year, and they said I couldn't do 285's with my offsets. It's been done

 

Wow, Spartan, that actually looks really clean. I know I was saying that the 20/25 offsets were too much (and they still are for me) but you've got a nice looking ride there. Loving the 255 front. That's a massively beefy front tire. The 285's in the rear also look really good. I'm glad you didn't stretch the tires. I'd love to see a walkaround video if you've got time to do it.

Almost makes me wonder if a 295 would fit on a 10.5" rim...

What's the diff between 245/35
And 255/30?

 

I wouldn't say its the "best", per se, but in my opinion, the 285 is a must for a 10.5" rim, regardless of offset. 245/35 and 255/30 are probably going to be pretty close with the 245 being slightly taller and thus slightly better ride quality.

I still plan on going with the 32/42 on Eibach's with probably 245/35s in the front and 285/30s in the rear.
