Vossen CV1 Eibach Perfect Offsets/Tires Discussion
It seems like most of our Vossen experts are really hardcore and go for the aggressive drop / coilover solution i.e. s-tech/h-tech. For the others who want something more moderate due to road conditions, wallet savings in just getting eibach this thread is for you. Unfortunately Vossen didn't come up with perfect eibach offsets for their awesome CV1s which are clear to be +25 +30, so we are stuck with either going 32/42 or 20/25 which in most people eyes are either too conservative or too aggressive for such a minor drop.
Obviously if you want to go with spacers you can correct the offsets to make them perfect but most don't want the hassle associated with spacers. Others also may not want to go too aggressive as they don't want the rougher ride, poked/stretched look, or having to modify their brackets. Thanks to all the Vossen experts, during my journey of finding the perfect tire/rims I've came up with the following things to consider: 1) Wheel offsets CV1 - +20/25 - Aggressive PRO: Front perfect flushness, rear isn't tucked CON: Rears pokes out, requires stretched tires, potential bracket modification, rougher ride due to required tires size, +32/42 - Conservative PRO: Front decently flushed, good ride, do not require stretched tires, does not poke out too much CON: Rears slightly tucked in and may not be aggressive enough for some 2) Tires brand/size - This is important as certain brands have different sidewalls that can cause your set up to fail or necessarily rub. Falken/Toyo - These have been identified as low profile sidewalls, where Toyo's are significantly more expensive. Running 20/25 with 245/35 /275/30 is said to be fine with these tires. General UHP/Hankooks - I believe these are fatter tires so if you go with 32/42 then you can run up to 245/35 & 285/30, however trying to do 275 with Hankooks on 20/25 may not work due to sidewall being higher. I think the best offsets I've seen for eibach drop would be akuma_83's +25/30. There are others who have gone with 32/42 but they are dropped with coilvers lower than eibach so the camber in makes it much more tucked than what it would be on just eibachs as the rears aren't lowered as much. i.e. Modme, and Pcassey

Also keep in mind, lots of the vossen experts say due to the way CV1s look and concave in, having stretched, poke actually enhances the look, and since the 42 offsets are already so tucked in with a slight eibach drop if you ever plan on going lower it will be yucky and resale value is much tougher since you have to target only eibach owners in coupe. I think even the sedan guys go for 38/42 and almost all the coupe guys will want 20/25s since they drop lower than eibach.

I think that your OCD kicking in. Lol 20/25 will look stupid on Eibachs drop and with a 285 rear is impossible. Just get the 32/42 and Add a 5mm spacer front and a 10 rear

Yea, I know it's not possible to do 285 with 25 offset. I know the spacer route is the best but would rather avoid that if possible. 20/25 doesn't look too bad with eibach check out TheDrain's pics, he is running 20/25 with eibach drop. I only wish I could see it in person OCD or not spending that much on something i want to make sure i get what 'im after =)

If it was up to me I'd run 20/25 and 235/265. If you want to run 245/285 then go 32/42. I know lots of peoPle with spacers with 0 issues

Why not 20/25 with 245/275, should be possible with and eibach drop right?
I think I'll end up doing 245/285 with 32/42 and see how I like it, if I'm not happy then I'll add spacers, this way it's safer =) |

There is really no PERFECT offset for a cv1 and an eibach drop. If you are not willing to lower your car more then your best bet is to stick with the +32 +42 and run big tires to hopefully get rid of the gap. The +20 +25 offsets on an eibach drop with semi stretched tires makes even more wheel gap plus it sticks out and doesnt look right. This is pretty simple. The CV1 is an aggressive wheel and goes best with a aggressive set up, eibach drop is NOT aggressive. Dont run stretched tires if you dont need to. End of story, you might want to look at a different wheel.

20/25 on an Eibachs drop with 275 won't work unless you cut ad trim the bracket and fenderliner. Eibachs are higher but don't forget the car still bounces.

Get the +20 front and the +42 rear and add 10pm spacer on rear and sit at a 20/32 ! Run 245/35 275/30 or even 285/30! Should look great and u will only run spacer on rear.
If you plan on staying w Eibachs just go w the higher rear offset and if u don't like then space the rear out. I think dougs car look great but you can easily pull off 20/25 w 245/275 on Eibachs. Me perSonally think Akumas offsets are perfect w Eibachs too bad vossen I's not having that option cause that's def what i would want. 32/42 w 245/35 285/30 I's the safest bet man. U want more flush u gonna have to run spacers ! If u don't want to run spacers wich i don't like to then go w 20/25 but dont stretch if u dont have to. 20/25 w falken 245/275 works just fine , rear may poke a tad tad but may not look all that bad. I say do it !!! out of all the eibach pics I've seen , Akumas looks best then followed by dougs w the 20/25 w 235/35 265/30 generals ! Def just try out the 20/25 and 245/275s man. |

As always great advice man! but now you've given me a 3rd option of getting +20/42 which will make my head hurt even more haha!!!
If i don't run spacers would +20/42 make the front stick out too much compared to the rear? Isn't that why most people that went 42 in the rears go 32?
