So i was driving home in my g37xs from the gym everything is fine until i hit a monstrous crater on the highway. It felt as if i lost the rim in that crater. I have the hotchkis sways so the stiffened suspension was the biggest contributor to that. Anyway! So i pull over and start checking to see if Im leaking air or if i damaged my rim. Rim seems good but the tire has a bubble. Heres my question will i be able to drive with the bubble or should i get the tire replaced ASAP? Is an inch by inch bubble that doesn't protrude that much that serious??

 

tire's good enough to drive to a place to get it replaced. that's about it. why risk doing more damage?

Bubbles are a result of impact damage. Means the belts have shifted in the tire sidewall due to blunt force trama and you only have a thin wall of rubber in that area now. Running on borrowed time really. Best to replace the tire.

 

Woah, potholes are always a problem but those pesky meteorites do leave some awfully large craters sometimes...

 

I was actually hoping you would reply, The bubble is no bigger than a quarter and comes out maybe ~5MM. How long do you think i have because money's tight atm and nobody is selling used Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A1-A A/S 225/50R18.

Im in s.i also and the streets kill the cars so much, pothole after pothole after pothole. It looks like your a drunk driver trying to swerve away from all them potholes lol

 

Now imagine somebody that's slammed going down the block.. New tires are the least of his worries!!
