Scratch-Less Rims??

so i bought a pair of rims and tires in November and i have noticed little scratches and nicks that you can only see upclose if your about 6inches away from the wheel. is there anyway to prevent these at all or is it something you will have to deal with by owning rims? it just sort of sucks

If you have to be 6 inches away to see the scratches then they probably are not that bad. I think you are experiencing normal wear and tear on a car.

I put a coat of wax on my wheels before mounting tires the first time and my detailer is very careful and maintains my car very well but even i have little scratches.

Don't these come from all the sand and grit kicked up while driving? I would think they are inevitable, unfortunately.

Put some clear bra material on your wheels.

but it seems like to me that it is almost impossible to keep your rims scratch free from just the roads in general. does anyone agree? does anyone own rims for over 6 months and have no one scratch?

It's also very easy to scratch wheels when washing your car. Debris & road grime that tends to collect around and behind the spokes comes loose when you're washing & rinsing your wheels then when you give it a final dry a couple sharp pieces come between your towel & the wheel & PRESTO~Scratches!!!
