flat tire

was just curious..dont know much bout tires..if i were to get a flat tire, would i have to get the same tire that matches my other 3 tires or can i get any tire as long as it matches the required specifications of the car?

you dont have to get all matching tires, but its best to. different tires have different amount of grip and could possibly cause a problem when your slipping

If you still on stock tires it would be great moment to replace them with better one. I would, just look tirerack or other places, stock tires are cra.

If the flat is in the tread you can get it plugged for minimal cost. If the sidewall is compromised, then you need a new tire.

You would want to get it patched and plugged. Plugging only is temporary. Do places actually do plugs anymore?

i got a flat front left tire 290 miles into my 2011 g37xs coupe. sidewall popped after pothole, got it replaced for $385. but getting a refund cuz i have the tire dorctor tire and wheel warranty coverage which was $609 for 5 yrs

I plug my own tires and it's not temporary.

It is correct to keep the tires on the same axle uniformed. Basically it is ok to have different tires on the fronts than on the rears. You can get away with mismatching, but I wouldn't do it.
