it might sit flush after you adjust the camber with the drop... just wait and see what happens...

just the top is sitting flush.

as for the AWD factor it shouldnt matter, kennys car is a sedan and the only difference between the two is that there are 2 differentials and all four wheels spin when needed. otherwise its a rear wheel drive just like all the other sedans. im thinking this wheel might be wrong on the offset.

in vossens defense jav has been really good over there, he didnt just brush me off. so for that i thank him. but i have to get this right because swapping out for a 9 inch rim in the rear just isnt going to do it for me, then i got 4 wheels with no concave, cause lets face it the rear wheel is what makes this style on this car.

 

well i'm wiating for the semi professional shots to come out... i was trying to go for the stretch and poke as much as i can with those wheels.

i just couldn't get wheels that everyone else got or have on the same car.

Problem with this pic is that the rear doesn't look concave at all. I'm going to agree with what other people have been saying. Drop, alignment, and then see what's up. You can't go 1/2 way and then back out without knowing what the final product looks like.

BTW, thanks for doing this OP. As far as I've seen, this is the first sedan with CV1s that has actually commented on the process. I was looking to do this myself, but I didn't wanna be the test subject.

 

took you long enough. post up pics when your done then ask if we like them or not. trust me when i say your going to love your car again. the wheels will be flush all around and make sure you get a good alignment done because from the pics i can tell it is way off.

 

It appears that he should run a significant amount of negative camber in order to tuck the rear wheels. After seeing this, I am considering a set of Work wheels.

dude this isnt the first time someone has had trouble with this wheel line. didnt a g conv have this problem , and i believe his hub rings making grinding sounds? idk man i really hope its just the wrong offset and its an easy fix. but if it isnt i hope then vossen will make good and do the rght thing

Absolutely. The trade-off is the ability to run aggressive wheel/tire combos.

+42 is conservative. It will NOT sit flush. It will sit TUCKED. Relax, take a deep breath, build up some patience and lower the damn thing!

I was at 10.5 +24 in the rear on a sedan. Trust me, you will be fine.

If after reading this post you have some more "what if" questions pop into your head, here is the answer to all of them: "Relax! It will be fine"

 

ya, a drop will make a huge difference. i remember when i got wheels on my audi before the drop, it poked out like a ghetto car. after the drop, it actually looked a little tucked. not as much, but definitely didn't poke at all.

 

Depends on how much you are talking about. Most people I know run a little negative camber for handling purposes. IMHO, having your toe out of spec is what you really need to worry about.
