Aren't the 19" sport coupe wheels staggered? Personally I would not use a staggered wheel set-up on an AWD (G37x).

Agreed. If you do a search, there are a few threads reguarding the coupe sport 19's on the AWD sedan. You would need 4 fronts or 4 rears to be compleatly safe.

I think he means non-staggered (4 identical wheels) setup.

The sport coupe wheels are 225 front and 245 rear. Since they're staggered their overall height is slightly different. This doesn't matter with the RWD coupe but with the AWD sedan the difference in overall wheel height will mess up the AWD system since the front and rear wheels will be rotating at different speeds. The AWD systems assumes that under normal conditions the front and rear wheels should be rotating at the same speed.

What you need to do to prevent this is either get 4 front wheels from a sport coupe or 4 rear wheels so the wheels are all the same size.

Assuming you don't want to buy them from the dealer, you can find people selling fronts and rears on eBay and Craigslist. You can also check out different forums and find someone else wanting to buy sport wheels for an AWD vehicle. That way you can buy two sets, split the cost and the one of you takes the fronts and the other takes the rears.

There is a lot of misinformation around here. You can run a staggered setup with AWD. True, you want the overall diameter of your front and rear tires to be as close as possible to being the same, but not being perfectly exact won't ruin your drivetrain.

Take for example the staggered sport wheels. Throw on the stock 225/45-19 tires on the front coupled with 245/40-19 tires on the rears, and you have an overal diameter difference of .3", or .9%. Again, the closer, the better, but this kind of variance can easily happen with uneven tire wear. Obviously you also want to rotate your tires, but not doing so won't ruin your AWD drivetrain.

And yes, do some more research. There are quite a few AWD G owners that are running staggered setups without any problems. All of the naysayers I've seen are doing so based on speculation and assumptions.

so all in all, can you do it with 245/225 set up?? or will it cause a problem with the awd system?
