Sick of spending $1k every 20k mi...

Hey guys. I'm about to turn 50k miles, and I'm already through my third set of RE050As. I don't track my car and don't really drive aggressively; it's just a daily driver that I occasionally open up on freeway ramps and around town. Admittedly, my RE050As never really "wear out," they just get so absurdly loud that I replace them because I'm embarrassed driving friends around in a car that sounds like it's dragging something.

So here's my question... What tires can I get in OEM sizes for a sport model that will stay quiet for more than 15k miles? I don't need the stickiest or most high-performance tires, just something that's decent and wears a little better than the RE050As. Thanks!!

Had these in 20s and loved them. Good wear, good performance, fairly cheaper than the RE050A's.

Many people can vouch for them too since I haven't read any complaints from members on here.

For $1,000 you could dynomat the whole interior of your car 2x and never hear the road noise again. If you want to take an alternative approach.

Have you had your alignment checked? Since you're on Eibachs, you may invest in camber kits as I'm sure you are wearing some due to neg camber.

yoko envigors? They have 560 tread rating instead of 140 on the RE050s.

All season though. :0

There's lots of love for the RE760s too. 360 tread rating. Still a summer tire, but better water performance.

I just switched to Potenza RE760 Sport; big improvement in ride and noise over the RE50s. You loose just a little bit of steering feedback but they're much cheaper than the RE50s.

^^I switched to these as well and like them much better so far. Have 10k+ miles on them and they still as good as new. Was able to get them for right at $800 from Discount Tire.

Road noise on my stocks are actually pretty minimal. The S drives produce much more road noise for me. I'm going to try Hankook Ventus V12 next, heard good things about it.

I have Yoko S drives and about 21,000 miles on it already. Still some threads left and road noise is decent. Still loving it and the price for those are pretty decent too!

I also heard good things about Hankook Ventus V12. I will go with Hankook on my next tire change
