Wheels w/ Exposed Fasteners - hard to clean?

I'm still looking into wheels for Her car. I'm looking for opinions from guys who have wheels with exposed fasteners. Are they a pain to clean? I've heard they can be a nightmare to wash the fasteners. Is this true?

Would you do the exposed fasteners again?

not too hard.

I have the GT30's, the gap between the barrel and the spokes are a pain to clean.

as long as you clean your wheels frequently, it wont be bad. mine have not been an issue on the gt30's.

If you use wheel brush it is really easy. Buy my wheel and paint it a new color lol

Sometimes threads or lint will get caught in there but just pull it out.

Fasteners are not hard to clean but the spacing between the fasteners are hard to clean. I would still get it again though.

I've become a fan of using the air compressor or blower to help getting the initial water off of cars. I was thinking that using the air nozzle would probably help get those fateners cleaned out quicker. Does anyone do that?

I have a set of 3 piece wheels with exposed fastners on my F355. They can be a real pain to clean... but if you use a really good wheel cleaner / spray like "Sonax".. you wont even have to touch the wheels. Just spray it on...wait for it to turn from yellow to purple... then hose it off. Its expensive but worth it. It used to take me forever to clean my wheels until a friend recommended "Sonax" to me.. now it takes less then 10 min to do all 4 wheels...
