Ride comfort in stock sedan

When I test drove the 2010 stock sedan, I thought it rode overly stiff on the 17" tires and regular suspension when driving over minor road irregularities in the city. I was going to get the sport option, but after driving the non-sport I thought the sport would be too harsh for my taste as far as daily driving around town.
I have 1,500 miles on my non-sport and the ride seems like it has become a lot more compliant since it was brand new.
Have other sport and non-sport owners noticed their ride improving as the suspension breaks in or am I just getting use to it?

I noticed the same thing but when I picked up mine I have gotten used to it but really appreciate how well it handles especially compared to my 2006. Just to note that even though mine is a S, I have the AWD so the suspension setting is the same as the non-sport one (abeit the 18" tires).

my non sport is too soft for me. But since I was gonna mod it anyways, non sport was my best opiton.

You probably should have test-driven the sport version as well. I wonder if the tire pressure on that non-sport did a trick on you. (some dealers have the tendency of over-inflating tires.)

I test drove both sport and non-sport before buying. I found the ride of the sport package is firm but not harsh at all, so I went with the sport. However, when I drove my new G37S (a different car than the one I tested) home, the ride was unbearably harsh. I thought I had made the wrong decision, but I suspected tire pressure. When I got home, I took out the gauge. Sure enough, 42 PSI all around! It was still close to 40 PSI after the tires cooled down. I adjusted to 33 PSI as factory recommended, and life is good again. Had I test driven this car, I would not have bought the sport package.

I have the sports package and was surprised how harsh the ride was at first. It's softened up a bit and now feels better, I don't mind it at all now. Also, the car handles extreemely well and is VERY responsive! Very happy with the "S" package, I love it! I just wish the transmission would respond quicker to manual inputs.

+1

I used the paddle shifter a few times. Coming from a 6MT, I can't stand the lag when shifting gears. Now, I leave the transmission in "D" most of the time, and just floor the throttle when needed. It down-shifts quite responsively.
