Ordering some Vossens on Monday! Good price I think.

After tons of research I've decided to go with Vossen 084 20's with black lip. Tires will be 245/35/20 and 285/30/20. I really don't want to deal with a bumpy ride and having to worry about everything I drive over so I'm going to be sticking to the stock suspension. You think it will still look good? I really hope so!

They're gonna cost me less than 500 a piece.

it will look bad, you will look like a monster truck. wheel gap ruins a car, atleast do an eibach prokit drop, very close to stock ride

low profile tires are going to cause a bumpy ride as there will not be a lot of rubber to absorb the bumps and will be more prone to popping a tire/bubbling.

Sure it'll look okay. But really though, imo all G's should be accompanied by some sort of drop. The stock height and gap between wheels and fenders are simply too much.

Anyway, I like the choice of wheels though!

Agree...a drop is almost a must. I suggest you get Eibach Pro-Kit or if you have the extra dough, get the Tanabe Coils.

I would love to drop the car because it looks so awesome, but my last two g coupes were such a big headache when it came to speed bumps, jacking up the car, or taking the car in for simple maintenance. Plus I'll be driving it in the snow. Any pics of how it would look not lowered with the wheels on?

you better call and cancel your order lol. i see that you're driving a "X" and you can't run staggered setup on all wheel drive.

I know someone running a staggered setup on a X...no problems yet

(Although I have heard tons about how they aren't supposed to be)

Actually you're wrong on that one. I've done a lot of research on it and talked to some Infiniti techs. It's really quite simple and logical. Keep the diameter of the front and rear the same and all is well. The car has absolutely no way of knowing how wide the tire is, only how fast it is spinning and that's why the diameter is the important factor. The specs I posted will keep the diameters equal.

but you didn't post any of the specs. i thought you were getting 10.5 and 9.5. i do know some people that run their all wheel drive like that too. same size and same diameter wheel but with a staggered tire setup.

yeah running the staggered wheels on a X will cause issues - the wheel weight difference will cause uneven load on transmission - also as a wheel spins it force/weight increases - so you will have extreme weight differences at higher speed. nice wheel choice though - i was gonna with those before.

Aww damn. That's a really good point I never considered. Good thing I didn't finalize my order today. I guess I'll be going with a non staggered non lipped wheel choice. Thanks for the info.

We've done this setup exactly and the rear gap isn't that bad, the front on the other hand is a problem, lol. You should deff consider a lowering, the car won't ride too bad from my experience.
