Infiniti half assed this implementation. My brothers 08 FX which uses older tech has the ability to give individual tire pressure.

my rental car up in New York, Pontiac G5, had a nice TPMS.

Rest of the car was utter crap.

(sigh) We’re back to that again. Under certain conditions, checking once a week may not be enough. You could lose pressure from a nail or something in a few minutes that could cause a blow out and a bad accident.

The only explanation I can make is that the Z is a sports car and falls under the nissan tree but not in the same line up as their other vehicles (versa->sentra->altima->maxima).

So in this sense its not "competition" with the models slatted directly above and below it. Where as the G is clearly the slightly smaller less expensive model compared to the M.
I guess the analogy is easier to understand with BMW and the 3 series vs 5 series. The 5 has features not available on the 3, justifying its price (along with other factors).

Don't get me wrong, I think its silly that they wouldn't put the nav-TPMS feature in the G as well, but this is my understanding of why they do that.

I would be a lot more pissed about this, but moms 05 E class doesn't have a TPMS readout either...
