Winter tires: Dunlop Wintersport M3 or Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 for G37S?
#1
Has anyone tried Dunlop Wintersport M3 or Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 on G37?
Has anyone tried either of these Dunlops or Michelins for their winter tire setup on the G37S? The reviews on the Bridgestone LM-25s are just so-so, and the LM-60 is brand new with no reviews. I had the Dunlop M3 on my Subaru WRX and they were fantastic (great traction in snow, quite decent in wet and dry, and with long life). And the Pilot Alpin PA3 is the top rated performance winter tire on TireRack.
Unfortunately, neither is available in the exact fit of 225/50/18 for my G37S. However, both are available in sizes of 225/45/18 (3.3% too small), and 235/45/18 (2% too small). Anyone see any issues with using these slightly small tires, assuming I use the same size on all four wheels?

A 235/50-18 would be a better size to use and there are good options there. The Michelin hasn't been out that long and it's reviews are a bit premature. The M3 was replaced by the 3D which was better than the M3. It's also been out there longer than the Michelin has. If you liked the M3 I would personally buy the 3D over the Michelin.
