Does anyone know for certain the length of contact (in mm) of contact a wheel stud needs to have with the threads inside the lug in order to be secure and safe?
I ran into this problem on my iForged wheels, they sat AT LEAST 5 but probably want 6-7 to be safe. Mackin makes special ET lugs that go into the wheel holes and allow for an extra couple of turns you may need. Amplified Motorsport can get em for you!
5 full turns at the minimum, but more is better. I'm pretty sure you know, but don't overtorque to compensate for less turns, as this won't help it hold....
def agree BB, MINIMUM like bare minimum is 5 turns, but i wouldnt be able to drive with a eased mind, and def 6-7 is perfect...i also believe its around a half inch...
