Technical question about wheel studs and lugs

Does anyone know for certain the length of contact (in mm) of contact a wheel stud needs to have with the threads inside the lug in order to be secure and safe?

I though the rule was 6 full turns of more.

I ran into this problem on my iForged wheels, they sat AT LEAST 5 but probably want 6-7 to be safe. Mackin makes special ET lugs that go into the wheel holes and allow for an extra couple of turns you may need. Amplified Motorsport can get em for you!

5 full turns at the minimum, but more is better. I'm pretty sure you know, but don't overtorque to compensate for less turns, as this won't help it hold....

So a consensus is 6 or 7 full revolutions. What does that translate to in mm of thread?

Are all studs the same pitch? How can you have a common rule using "turns" if so many different thread combinations are out there?

That depends on the thread size. On a G, I believe it is about 3/8-1/2 inch.
