you want to do about 32 PSI cold. 50PSI on the tire is the maximum it can do.

Yes he means before you drive on them and warm them up. Just get yourself a nice electronic tire pressure gauge as you do not really want to use the one at the air pump since they are usually not that accurate. They are not that much $. Check them when they are cold before you drive on them. If you need to add 4 pounds when they are cold, just drive to the store and check the tire again and add 4 pounds.

Rememeber that you want to do this in the morning. If your car has been sitting in the sun, tire pressures will be uneven =P

Also, TPMS comes on when your tire pressure hits 28. This is why it can be on in the morning, and then go off as you drive.

Glad i saw this thread...

Just had my Vossen's installed and the guys set 3/4 tires at 40psi and one was at about 30psi and the TPMS came on about 20mins after driving...

I put the 4th wheel up to 40psi so that is where they are all at... When accelerating the butt like jiggles a little (never good, lol) Is this because i have too much pressure in the tires?

Remember to check pressures while tires are cold. I prob wouldn't go as high as the max listed on the sidewall.

^+1

Just follow the recommended pressure listed on the door jamb of the car. The tires themselves don't have a recommended pressure stamped on them. As stated, they show max pressure is the tires cold pressure design limit for safety/failure purposes which is typically much higher than the normal cold pressure.
