Stripping Chrome?

Okay so...basic question here, how much do places usually charge to strip rims that have a chrome lip? I understand it most likely has to be sanded and sandblasted etc., but has anyone actually done it before and for how much?

The rims I have now had a chrome lip before, but I had them painted IP. They charged me 400 for everything.

Straight up paint, I wanted that glossy finish and a closer color match.

why dont you just wash the chrome lip with some cheap wheel cleaner, you'll get a frosted effect ??

Just the lip? $100-125 a rim. Same as a curb rash repair. Going with pink lips to match whats in your undies.
