245 up front with the 275 gives the car a beefy look

Coladin, so basically you added spacers alone right? Or did you change the tires as well? And if i understand correctly, you only have 10mm spacers in the rear? Did you order them online, if so what site and if you dont mind me asking, how much? Also did it only come with longer studs as well?

The picture in April are stock tires with just the rear 10mm spacer. I don't have any spacers in the front. The rear does not have to steer so I am more comfortable without the front spacer. Besides, the larger tires up front negate the use of a spacer in the rear and accentuates the flaring of the **** of the car. The May picture is with the 245/40/19 stock rear tire up front, and 275/35/19 Re050a in the rear. I just went to a speed shop and they cost 150 bucks and they installed them. There are longer studs as well which basically secure everything.

can we see a straight shot of the rear so we can get an idea of the car's stance?

I am putting 20mm spacers with extended studs on this weekend. There should be no problems with 20mm on stock 245 tires. There is well over an inch of room from the fender to the tire in the rear stock. 1" is 25.4mm so that should tell you that 20mm shouldn't be a problem. Even 25mm should fit.

Coloadin, so the vibration issues were only due to spacers being on the front? Spacers in the rear should be no problem at high speeds I assume?

Ruskie, after you install the spacers, let us know how it goes. I know I would appreciate it!

Lwould love to see the ourcome of that...if it looks good I may consider getting wider spacersin the rear.

I am curious to see how your fenders look after a while, though. Mine even with a 10mm spacer, I noticed more tire shine spray. Nothing traginc, mind you, but I wonder how much more there would be with twice the spacer...twice the mess?

the 5mm spacer didn't sit well on the hub, but a 10mm would be fine in the front if I was so inclined. I have had the car up to 100mph and it was totally fine, normal. I've hung the tail out, it is all good.

Did the 5mm spacer use the stock lug bolts? Was it hubcentric? Most 5mm's aren't. Just go 10 to be safe.

Was doing some calcuations on offsets and spacers and I figured I'd bump an old thread pertaining to the topic. Based on my math, a 20mm in the front and 25 mm spacer would be perfect for the flush look with the stock 19's.

These calculations are measuring the distance the wheel extends past the vertical mounting plane of the hub. How far they extend towards the edge of your fender. I used the 19x9.5 +35 and 19x10.5 +37 for comparison as they are the common size I've found for Volk fitments.

Fronts
19x8.5 +43 = 2.56"
19x9.5 +35 = 3.37"
18x8.5 +23 = 3.34" (20 mm spacer)

Rears
19x9.0 +45 = 2.73"
19x10.5 +37 = 3.79"
19.9.0 +20 = 3.71" (25 mm spacer)

YMMV based on tire sizing and sidewall. A 275 will have a much more vertical sidewall than a 275 on that 10.5" rim so it will be closer to the fender. I'd also recommend longer studs or spacers that lock onto your factory studs and have their own studs built in. These are just my calculations, I'd do any drops and tire swaps, then measure before purchasing but I'd be inclined to look at 20/25 mm for myself.

^^ yeah ditto... any updates??
i lowered mine on H Techs last weekend... My last G, I bought Volks for.. but since I'm only keeping this one for 2 years... I want to keep the stock wheels on but was thinking about spacers for a more aggressive look.
