OK, check it out. DO NOT get T1R's in 275/35/19 for the rear OEM 19s.

i blew a rear saturday and had a tire place put on 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear in Toyo T1R's. they are VERY floaty and not solid at all. I think they're just a little too wide for the 9.0" in the rear.

I called the tire place today and they're going to give me a refund... I'll get my good 3 tires back and my spare back where the blown one was.

There is a bit of a differance in Quality when you go with a Michelin. I know I am going to get flamed for that but i speek from meny years experiance and actually building and classpesting the tires. Michelin is the only tire company to 100% classpect and CID their tires. Not to mention that they have the best NST joints and 100% X-rar verification of joints.

Has anyone kept track of the change in gas mileage in regards to the wider tires? I'm just curious as to how much/little the MPGs have changed.

Another tire that you can consider is the VREDESTEIN SESSANTA ULTRAC. They are a newer tire from Europe designed by GUIGARO. Their pricing is good and so is the quality. Perhaps not at Michelin Pilot levels, but good nonetheless, I have done them on quite a few cars including the Lexus ISF and the AUDI S5, customers are very happy.

Here's a pic of the tread on the S5

For Northern VA weather (dry + rain here and there) whats a good tire? Should I go with all seasons? For winter I'd prob switch to dedicated winter tires but as far as great traction in the rain and dry weather, what do you guys recommend?

out of those 3 which is the quietest? the sizes you posted for the 01Rs, are those stock sizes? I'm assuming no, if not is there anything wrong with getting them in stock sizes for the stock 19s? (i must have said stock 50 times..)
