I expect you to come back in < 12,000 miles and post a thread asking why your tires are already bald.
The RE92s will last for a long time, that is, if they don't kill you or your car first.
They will likely:
a) blow out on you
b) form random bubbles
c) cause you to hydroplane in the rain
d) cause you to slide in snow or ice
e) toss you into a ditch or into a tree
RE92s are the worst tires ever created. Goodluck with them. Go to tirerack and read the horror story reviews thousands of owners have posted up.
I can't wait until I have to replace these noisy, ridiculous, horribly serviced tires. I had this same brand on two other vehicles and had NOTHING but trouble. Even Lexus switched off of them because of issues (not sure what they use now). I went to Michellin and then General - the latter was almost as good for about 1/3rd the price.
I am not suprised by the issue with Bridgestone, discussed above, but YMMV.
I understand you being a little ticked blowing a tire right after you took delivery, BUT I certainly wouldn't be pissed at the dealer. How is it their fault? IMO, you are lucky the dealership replaced your tire at no charge.
I'm with Chuck on this one. You should be thankful they replaced the tire.
As I understand it, the cars are shipped from the factory with tires set around 50psi and the dealer is supposed to set them to the correct psi, and they sometimes overlook doing so. The first car I bought years ago was a 1992 240SX and I was wondering why the car rode so incredibly rough and I discovered that the tires were still set around 50psi. Driving with tires at that high of a psi can possibly lead to a blowout. Were the other three tires set at the correct psi? Tires on new cars are warranteed just like if you bought them at a tire shop. The Infiniti warranty booklet has details on the warrantees for their different brands of tires. If you didn't hit anything and the tire just flat out blew, it should have been replaced for free. Infiniti would probably just bill Bridgestone for the replacement.
