In my never-ending search for a way to put all-season tires on the G37's 19 in Sport Pkg wheels, I've decided to get a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S245/40-19 for the front (replacing the 225/45-19, and same size as the OE rear), and 255/40-19 on the rear (replacing the OE 245/40-19). Test fitting by the dealer shows that the 245/40-19 fits fine on the 8.5 in front wheels, and have no clearance problems with the front end. Both sets of tires will be a little wider than OE, but, close enough for the convenience of a quality all-season tire.
I asked the dealer if they would give a credit and keep the OE Bridgestone tires, since I never intend to use them. This was done for me a couple of times before by other dealers. In the past I've gotten half the cost of the new tires as a credit (and the dealer then re-sells them as replacements, 'new car take-offs', at 3/4 of the new price, and everybody wins).
The OE Bridgestones on the G37 Sport cost $1052 a set from tirerack, and probably far more at dealer prices. The dealer offered a $200 credit for them to keep the Bridgestones (plus they would charge me $140 to mount the Michelins).
What do you think? Seems a little thin to me...

Why do you want all season tires? They compromise performance in all conditions. If you need snows- buy snows, you'll be much happier and safer in the long run. TireRack has good packages and advice that can't be beat. Instead of taking a beating on your summer tires you should spring for a winter package.

well, i shopped around and ended up paying $140 to ETD to mount, balance and transfer the tire pressure monitors to a set of new wheels. $5 ...would have been great. I am in NJ and most tire shops wont even do this cuz they told me these low profile tires require newer mounting tools that they dont have and they dont want to run the risk of scratch the wheels. Only big shops would do them but balancing is extra and transfering the TPM is also extra totalling $140. Was $5 a wheel only the mounting or all of the above ?
As for the $200 credit for the OEM tires, i agree, that is BS from the dealer. Sell them on ebay and you should triple that.
They are a considered a used tire once they are mounted...
If you have a garage or something, keep them there, you will use them in the future...
Best you will get is $400-$500 plus shipping for the tires... And shipping tires is gonna be around $90 at least...
