VPP Interest rate

Since it's almost 3 weeks since the papers were drawn up and I still don't have the car, and they don't have the final signatures, they'll have to redo the paper. Question I have is: The first dealer I worked with and walked away from because of a surprise addition of $600 to the OTD price, was giving me a .5% discount off the financing special rate, brining it to 2.4% for the 60Month term. Dealer I'm buying from has said there are no extra discounts on the financing. Can some one who's very familiar with the VPP program give me the straight line here? Is there or isn't there a .5 % discount off finance rates when doing VPP?

There is no tie between financing and VPP.

WTF?!? How in the hell is that possible? I've never seen IFS give anything in the form of a break from special financing. I almost wanna call BS that the dealer (or IFS really) can get you 2.49% APR.

Yup, they had 2.4% on the paper. They also had an unexpected $600 for transportation that I was not qouted. Sales guy told me the I got a .5% break on financing for VPP. Sounds like I was being feed some BS

Partially Correct.

Promotional financing rates are not affected by VPP.

Standard financing rates are discounted by .5% by VPP, ONLY if you finance through IFS.

With the promotional rates now, there is no rate discount by using VPP

$600 transportation? So the car you bought wasn't in the lot? Where'd it come from?

I bought from Riverside, but my car was somewhere in LA. One of the guys drove it from LA to Riverside, so I ended up buying a car with 55 miles on it. Wasn't too happy about that at first, but I guess it beats the hell out of paying for transportation...

I went through VPP, but like Mike said, I don't think it applies to promo rates. By that logic, if Infiniti ever offered 0% financing, then with VPP, Infiniti would have to pay me interest? That would rock.

Even with VPP, the rate can never go negative (it's in the guidelines)

chop, those are higher than 1.9%/2.9% offered by IFS. I know your cheap *** and you'd rather pay the lesser interest.

Ps. You know me better as NineToez on Hofo, etc.

IF there's a chance you're a recent college grad, you can get similar financing rates.
