I figured that this may be helpful to someone looking to mod their heads. I took me 2 years before I finally modded mine, and the tip about not painting the chrome reflector piece is golden!

Doing so would result in the paint bubbling over that spot. You'd either end up constantly repainting that spot, or ignoring it to be explained when people see it and ask why.

U sure? That's a common thing on g37s? Bc I painted my g35 projectors and had no issues like that. I didn't even use primer I jus used the paint and primer type spray can

I guess it depends on if we're talking about the same chrome piece. I was referring to the reflector strip just below the project.

Are you referring to the shroud around the projector?

I'm referring to shroud and every part thats chrome that's paintable. So Wats bubbling from? Can't be from heat from the lights bc on my g35 I used the fogs as driving lights at night no issues. The g37 are basically the same

Painting the shroud is fine, but the chrome reflector below the projector will bubble if you paint over it. The headlight isn't the cause, but the sun is! There are a few members here who've done so and can attest to the results.

I'm a victim of painting over that piece. And for sure I have bubbles. It's gotten worse also. I'll take a pic. I also have the clear lens upgrade which is what makes it worse from the sun.
