Some Bmw's have similar exhaust systems but it is for backpressure and performance reasons, not sound.! interesting ****!

 

Nothing New. Have seen this on Jeeps and trucks for years. Still cool stuff.

would never install such a muffler on a turbo'd car.. back pressure over time would ruin it.. i mean isnt it why they replace the stock cats with test pipes in the first place?

 

I had something similar on my Evo...i liked mine better.

My exhaust already was loud....full 3" downpipe, test pipe, cat-back, no resonators or anything. And the downpipe was made by a company called QTP (quick time performance) which had a cut-out that would come straight throught the downpipe...and with the push of a button the butterfly valve would open and the exhaust gases where going mostly straight out the downpipe. That things was loud but sounded so sweeeet cause you can hear the turbo whining so clearly.

The company makes a universal piece that you can weld on to any exhaust.
