Damn. Serious accident. At first it didn't look like it was going to be anything but a spin, but when the panned over and you see the car flying, it's a different story. I guess with that speed even the slightest miscalculation can be detrimental.

 

I believe it was a suspension failure that caused the original spin and once it got sideways the natural lift of the shape of the car made it exactly like a wing. They are only designed to stay on the ground when going forward or backward, not sideways. He was very lucky as was the Audi he narrowly missed in the chicane.

 

Just wicked...a horrific crash and a ridiculously close call all in one crash.
