if you look at pics from last year....you maybe able to see if helmets were worn or not.roll cage i dont think so. i heard a cop showed up last year to sit on the strip and radar people as they drove by. i suspect some sort of timing device will be used. the people who can better answer your questions are the staff of zdayz or Forged Performance who are hosting the drag strip event.

 

Yeah, that was already announced a few weeks ago. Forged has some things up their sleeves again, not suprised after dealing with Sharif. Some SICK SICCCCCCCCCCCKKKK GTRs

 

fyi. sharif just got his new 2013 gtr. I was at the shop on Monday getting my Kw V3 installed and walked outside for a minute only to see it being dropped off....so maybe .10miles on it so far haha

 

Airstrip Event and helmets - this isn't an actual track event. This is an old school, flirty dirty, knock down, run it till your ***** shrivel up then slam on the brakes event.
No timing equipment, no green flag, no champagne (unless you bring it) at the end, no helmets, and you only get the glory if you have the car to get you there.

Just you, a long @ss runway, and only three real rules that I'm aware of...
1. don't do stupid stuff (donuts in the parking lot, sideways e-brake slides at 120mph halfway down the strip etc)
2. go fast
3. stop before the end of the runway

However, to find out the full 411 on this, hit up Chad B at Forged Performance. I'm sure they have "official hard and fast" rules, but I think you're getting the picture.

Hey guys, this is Chadbee over at Forged(we can only have a certain amount of accounts lol). Todd sent me a message and told me to stop by here cause you guys had a few questions.

This event doesn't call for anything but your signature at the gate, no helmets or roll cages required. No safety requirements, you sign a wavier stating that this is not a "racing" event. We are all "testing" the performance of our cars down the strip, there just happens to be another person also "testing" the performance of their car down the same strip at the same time. Since the strip is 40 feet wide we run two cars at a time, all day long.....and yes you are able to set up who is "testing" their car at the same time as you are

Honestly, last year people got as many runs as they wanted. There were periods where nobody ran for 10-15 minutes. I see no problem you getting 30+ runs in.

For those that don't know, its been confirmed that Modified Magazine will be covering ZdayZ this year. They will be doing a full feature on the event.

Also "NISSAN" is coming. There's also a huge tent called the "Innovation Station" which includes a Nissan technology showcase, and a FEW PS3 game consoles.
They have advised they will bring not only that modified 370Z the public voted on and had built, but they are bringing their 110'x60' party tent + 'more stuff' to show case the car (and 'others).
