Fx37?

Does anyone know when the FX line will be upgraded to the 3.7 liter engine? My lease is coming up in the next 6 months, and I didn't want to get the FX35 if the FX37 comes out the year after (it would really bug me inside!!!).

Thanks everyone!

Well it wont make it to the US in the next 6 months for certain. Perhaps for the 2011 model year at the earliest. da mayor might have more inside info.

i could care less the Fx37 doesn't come out... most people are sufficient for the fx35's 303-hp motor and 7at....

they also want to keep the gap between the FX35 and FX50 costs to a minimum.

And realize how many people will complain the FX37 needs to have premium gas and ester oil...

price wise, the 2009 FX35 took a minimum $5k jump from the 2008 models which has already hurt sales b/c many people can't afford the new FX compared w/ the previous one.

Thanks for your input. I see what you're saying about the higher costs associated with the FX37, but the same arguments could probably be made about the whole line 35 v. 37.

If you're in this price segment I would imagine people want the better engine and not worry about the cost of premium fuel... It's like saying someone that drives a Bentley is upset about his/her car insurance...

I guess I'll have to wait and see the M37 in person, and decide between that, another G37 or the FX35. Thanks.

There isnt that much differnce between the 3.5 and 3.7 I have both. When you are talking 15 or so HP on top of 300 already- its not alot. I own a G37coupe and FX35- just traded my G37sedan in, and am very pleased with the fx35- believe me it went through my mind as well.

Premium fuel is recommended for the 3.5L in the FX35. You can use regular but Infiniti says there will be decreased preformance. You don't need the ester oil for the 3.7L either. I've never put it in my G37xS sedan or coupe. The dealer just puts in regular oil and I'm fine.
