Vendor Status elite dry carbon fiber rear diffuser completed!! With pictures!!

Carbon Fiber Educational Note:
A large majority of carbon fiber manufactures hand lay the carbon wether it be laying pre-preg carbon or raw fiber for wet laid purposes. There will always be slight imperfections due to the nature of the whole process of manufacturing carbon fiber. In this case, your concern is due to very strong compaction during the autoclave process which applies force to all surface areas of the diffuser. And because there are curvatures, it is normal to have a slight shift in the fiber because of strong compaction.
This same compaction is mandatory for any high strength purposes for military, aerospace, and F1 racing. The more compact the weaves overlap, the stronger the carbon strength is.
Also, with strong compaction, you will not see sunlight through the weaves as you would with many other carbon products in the market. You will notice there are minimal to no "pin holes" on the surface.

while everything you are stating is on spot i have to address one thing you just mentioned. you say because of the autoclave process and tight spaces of the fins that cf will have inperfections? that is just not true. I have had plenty of dry carbon items from top secret, asm, amuse, mugen, varis auto and other and none of their items every had any inperfections in the weave. not that the ones mentioned here in the thread are a big issue. personally those wouldnt really bother me as i am not laying on the floor looking at the fins on my car nor do i think most would. but for $600 i expect inperfections. but when i pay $2000+ for brands mentioned above theirs are flawless. so it cant be the method of production. also are you saying on the sold production pieces that you dont expect those flaws? again they dont bother me because they are so minor but i think that question cleared up might help other buyers.
Although sometimes there may be imperfections, we try to keep it minimum to none. Production diffusers will be of higher quality, and I will post pictures of them when they are ready in approximately a week. We inspect each carbon product before trimming and shipping.
